Competitions: Jested Cup 2003

    The weather in the past days wasn't very promising neither for a pleasant day at the slope not for a reasonable competition. The rescheduled Czech championship at Rana hill also took away some of the competitors. Nevertheless, it turned out in to a clear and sunny day and a good number of people were starting to show up.

    The morning calm turned out in to a relatively warm and sunny day with more or less stable western winds. Therefore, we had no trouble identifying the correct slope. And at the same time the first sausage was grilled.

    However, the wind was unstable sometimes but supported by thermals. Therefore, next to decent 50 - 60 seconds times even some 0 occurred. These were the conditions for all 6 rounds, which we were able to make including a "safety" break for sausages after 4 hours of hard work of the officials.

    Everyone was in good spirit and cheering ("faster, faster…!!!" , "relax, don't rush, take it easy…." , " …move it!!! Leave some for me!" )

    The last round was over shortly before 16:00 hrs and preparations for the final ceremony begun. We announced the results and awarded prizes from our sponsors who had small gifts for the officials as well.

    The competition director announced that he is retiring from his place and is not even considering to organize next year. It is essential that we find a replacement as soon as possible because it would be sad if this past year would bet ha last one of the Jested Cup.
